Monitoring in public

We measure the internet
you build on.

50 services the industry runs on, checked every minute from outside their infrastructure. Independently measured, not self-reported — and running on the same pipeline your own monitors would.

Questions.

Where do checks run from?

From Upclock's own probe servers on the public internet, outside your infrastructure. By default a check must fail three consecutive times before an incident opens, so a single blip never pages you — the threshold is configurable per service, from 1 to 10.

Do I need to install anything?

No. There's no agent, no SDK, and no log shipping. You point Upclock at a URL, a host and port, or a DNS record, and it starts checking.

What can I monitor?

HTTP and HTTPS endpoints, TCP ports, DNS records, and ICMP ping. HTTPS checks can also watch certificate expiry, and heartbeat monitors cover cron jobs and background workers.

How do alerts reach me?

Email, ntfy, Slack, and signed webhooks, depending on plan. A recovery notice goes out when the service passes two consecutive checks again.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Hobby is free: 10 monitors at 1-minute intervals, 5 heartbeats, 1 status page, and email alerts. No credit card.

How long is data retained?

7 days on Hobby, 30 on Basic, 90 on Pro, and 365 on Enterprise. Older resolved incidents and check history are purged automatically.
